The Rancheria District is known to host a large number of zinc-silver-lead occurrences with similarities to the famous Manto districts of Mexico that have made it the largest silver producer in the world.

Yukon Zinc controls several key properties in this emerging zinc district, with 473 mineral claims covering 97.5-square-kilometres. The wholly-owned Swift property, acquired in November 2004, is known to host numerous zinc and copper occurrences that include massive sulphide mineralization over a strike length of approximately 20 kilometers. Yukon Zinc controls a 60% joint venture interest in the Logan deposit, with an Inferred mineral resource of 13,080,000 tonnes grading 5.10% zinc and 23.7 grams per tonne silver. This NI 43-101 compliant Inferred mineral resource was completed in 2004 by Hatch Associates Ltd.
