April 26, 2010 - Fatality at Yukon Zinc's Wolverine Mine
Mr. Raymond Mah, Chief Operating Officer of Yukon Zinc Corporation, and Mr. Ed Yurkowski, President of Procon Mining & Tunnelling Ltd., regretfully advise that an underground accident yesterday has taken the life of 25 year old William Fisher, a Procon employee at the Wolverine Mine located in the southeast Yukon. Three Procon employees were working in a stabilized area of the mine when the ground failure occurred. The accident is presently under review by Yukon Zinc, Procon, RCMP and Yukon authorities.
